Hips: bias cut and will go to 20" flat across from side seam to side seam

I had someone ask the Chanel Archives about this dress for me and they were told this was approximately 1928. You can see in the final photo here a similar feeling dress from 1933 that is held in the metropolitan museum collection along with the owner wearing it.
